Following 15 years working as a designer, animator and creative director in the film and television industry, EUSTON+ELLIS founder Liz Ellis took a life-changing role as the Creative Director for artist Del Kathryn Barton.

Inducted into Del’s psychedelic and fantastical world of colour, Liz traded her computer for a pen and discovered her passion for illustration and textile design. Liz’s vibrant and detail-oriented personality is evident in each hand-drawn design from the EUSTON+ELLIS collection.

EUSTON+ELLIS is designed in Australia and produced in China in accordance with international fair-trade rules and regulations. As a consciously minded company, our products are made from 100% high-quality linen, sourced intentionally for its minimal footprint under the company’s guiding mission statement: “Buy Better, Keep Forever.”

All fabrics, accessories, printing and dying processes are executed prioritising quality and sustainability, resulting in a product that can be passed down and fought over by future generations. And when it’s finally threadbare and no longer presentable? Our linen is 100% biodegradable to ease your green conscience.

ABOUT OUR DESIGNS

TABLELANDS

Sunny days, coastal breezes, shared meals, icy drinks. Inspired by the Sunshine State, TABLELANDS’ blend of colours brings together the warm days with the cool evenings. It was born from designer Liz’s dreams of holidays full of at-home entertaining and hugs with friends and family. Because isn’t washing up more fun when you’re doing it together?

BUZZY BEE

Buzz buzz… If you were a kid growing up in New Zealand a few decades ago, you’ll feel a little sentimental over this innocently inspired pattern, BUZZY BEE. A kiwi classic – even loved by little Prince William back in the day – this bright design is dynamic both in its use of colour and depth of pattern. Nothing childish about this one.

FROGGER

We’re feeling a little nostalgic for the good old days… When phones had cords, prawn cocktails were the epitome of party food, INXS was on every radio, and every kid was battling over the highest score in the latest arcade game. But unlike bad perms and blue eyeshadow, we’re only bringing back the best of the 80s with our FROGGER-inspired new pattern.

TESSELLATION

Wake, stay home, sleep, repeat… Does anyone else feel like 2020 and 2021 was just the same pattern repeating over and over without any breaks? When entertaining at home is back on the table, decorate it with TESSELLATION. This lively interpretation of our day-in, day-out lockdown adventures even includes both the bright hysterical explosions and the dark shady patches!

TICKLED PINK

If you’ve ever seen Lake Hillier, off the south coast of Western Australia, then you won’t be surprised to know it inspired this design. Its vibrant pink colour is thanks to a naturally occurring organism in the lake water and brought to life in this pattern. Bring a summer holiday vibe to life with TICKLED PINK – best served alongside an icy jug of Watermelon Spritz.

WILD GUM

WILD GUM was inspired by Liz’s favourite gum tree in her parents’ garden. It blossoms every Christmas so is the backdrop to family lunch, among the over-catering, festive hats and bad cracker puns. Liz’s parents live in Queensland so she was dreaming of that big, beautiful gum in the lead up to Christmas 2020, knowing she wouldn’t see it due to border closures.

DOT DASH

Everyone knows an over-wrapper: the one who spends almost as much money on the paper, ribbon or handmade card as the present itself. DOT DASH was designed for that person, who always goes above and beyond. It was inspired by the layering of wrapping paper with Japanese wasabi tape, and those moments of anticipation when you’re handed a gift before you’ve unwrapped it.
